The Power of Advertising

Tonight Matt and I watched Obama's half hour on TV, as we were curious to see what he was going to say. Connor was still up, so we asked him to play quietly until the long "commercial" was done. After about ten minutes Connor suddenly asks, "Is Buh-rock-a Bama [his pronunciation] done yet so I can play more loud?" We were shocked that he knew who this man was. So, Matt asks him, "Do you know who the other guy is--not on TV now, but he has a lot of ads too and has white hair?" Connor, without hesitation, gleefully shouts: "John McCain!" We asked if he talked about these guys in school, and he told us no, that he just sees them on TV commercials. Wow!
