Fishing and Boating Fun

Two weekends ago Matt's sister Beth and her husband, Ben, came down for the night. While Beth and I went to an arts festival and IKEA, Ben and Matt took Connor fishing. Uncle Ben is an avid fisherman and had been promising Connor that he'd teach him to fish. Connor loved it!


Then on Sunday, after Beth and Ben left, we headed up to Grandpa Fix's for an overnighter on the boat. On Sunday we just hung out and did some more fishing. We weren't able to catch anything. Maybe we needed Ben's expertise??? Or maybe it had to do with the fact that the harbor is recovering from a recent fish kill??? Anyhow, on Monday we took the boat out to Rock Creek. There was no wind to really speak of, so we just motored. While there, Matt took Connor "swimming." With both a life jacket and a life preserver, Connor still refused to let go of Daddy. Guess it's a good thing swimming lessons start next week!





All in all, it was a great, relaxing weekend!
